Fostering Hope- Caring For Those Who Care

November 22nd, 2017

During the month of November we are collecting care package supplies for Foster Care Workers. We invite you to take part in this project by helping us in one of two ways.

1) Purchase supplies for a care package(s).

o Sign up right here to receive a confirmation email with a supply list. It has the list of the exact items you will need for 1 care package and each package will cost you $15. Please purchase 1 of each item on that list, then bring your supplies and drop them off in one of the bins in the North Lobby.

2) Help assemble the packages.

o On Wednesday, November 22nd, the night before Thanksgiving, we will assemble these packages as a church family. Join us for worship and afterwards we will gather together in the lobby to assemble and pray over these packages.

So, have a conversation with your family about how you are going to participate in this outreach and let’s “make a difference” together. .christmasoutreachofyear

Christmas Community Outreach with Loaves & Fishes Ministry

December 16th, 2017

Location: Loaves & Fishes Ministry 11321 E. 19th St. Tulsa, OK 74128

Time: 8am-12pm

We partner with Loaves & Fishes Ministry annually for their Christmas community outreach. Volunteers show up at 8am at the ministry to box food, sort toys, greet & pass out Christmas cookies to the guests, and get them checked in.

At 10am, members of the Destiny worship team will sing worship and Christmas songs and Pastor Mike will hold a short service. There will be both behind the scenes duties as well as opportunities to pray and work with the guests who come.

Many like to serve as a family, but we just ask that your children be 6th grade or older and come with a parent or legal guardian to sign up to help.

If you "mark YES" to bring home-baked cookies with you, please bring them in a disposable container that they will not get smashed or break.
